The further I dive into the Esports rabbit hole and the personalities that dominate the competitive gaming community the more it peeks my interest. As a casual gamer who stopped playing after CoD Modern Warfare and Halo 3, I love that we live in a time in which you can make a living playing video games. It just makes sense. Games are games rather they are played indoors or out.

What I have noticed though, is how boring the Marketing and promotional content is for Esports. It leans too hard on the Sports angle. They should be emphasizing what makes professional gaming unique. It's the imaginations of players who lose themselves in worlds created by artists that's interesting. We should be celebrating the creativity that fuels the gaming world.

I wanted to tap into the energy of being in a world vs a snapshot of what's outside of it. The player in the game vs the player outside of it. It's the full energetic immersion and escape that makes gaming so cool.
